ALARMS: 2 TYPE: Commercial LOCATION: 3296 Westerville Road JURISDICTION: Mifflin SUMMARY: This morning at 5 am, Mifflin twp took calls reporting a fire. This was at 3296 Westerville road. 1 story comm'l bldg, well off. CFD Westerville, and Clinton all responded. Box 15 and the Columbus Auxiliary responded. Crews were in service around 8 am. This was a 2nd alarm fire.

Columbus Division of Fire Auxiliary Meetings and Trainings Membership in the Auxiliary shall be open to all persons of reputable character eighteen (18) years of age or older who reside in the City of Columbus, Franklin County, or within a contiguous county, and are in sound physical and mental condition. Who agree to abide by the Constitution, By-Laws, Regulations and rules of the Auxiliary. Also all regulations set-forth by the Columbus Division of Fire. A comprensive background check will be conducted, as well as drug testing. Members must obtain an minimum 36 Hr. State of Ohio Firefighting Certification within twelve months of membership appointment. Members shall be responsible for purchasing and maintaining their own uniforms, firefighting clothing and safety equipment if the Auxiliary is unable to provide properly fitting gear. Auxiliary Firefighters are required to respond to all multiple alarms dispatched by the Columbus Division of Fire Alarm Office through the Auxiliary's cell phone text messaging system. Members are responsible for providing their own text-capable cell phone or pager. Auxiliary Business Meetings shall convene the first Monday of every month, 7:30pm in room #173 in the north building of the Columbus Division of Fire Complex located at 3639 Parsons Ave. Monthly Training sessions are held on the third Sunday of every month, 09:00am at the Columbus Division of Fire Training Facility located at 3639 S. Parsons Ave. Cols, OH. |
