DATE: 04/03/2011 @ 15:11ALARMS: 2 TYPE: 2 story residental multi-family LOCATION: Hiliard Park Boulevard JURISDICTION: Columbus SUMMARY: ?CFD AUX crews were dispatched as the special service on 2463 Hilliard Park Dr. for the second alarm assignment. The AUX Squad responded with 12. Under command of Battalion 5 & AUX Capt. White crews split into 3 and went to work. The fire was contained and scaled back to the 1st due co.'s and CFD AUX. A sig...nal "O" was transmitted @ 1940 placing the AUX back in service

About the Columbus Division of Fire Auxiliary The Columbus Fire Auxiliary was created to assist the full time professional department in time of need such as during a major incident. Auxiliary members attend the same trainings with the full time firefighter. The auxiliary can be special called to the scene of an incident and assist with containment and extinguishment, overhaul and clean up. Auxiliary members also assist with special functions like the annual State Fire Marshall's Open House and the Chief's Conference. |
